Irene Duhaime

Irene Duhaime is the Robinson Distinguished Leadership Professor in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. Her research interests focus on corporate strategy and include diversification decision-making, acquisition, divestment and turnaround; she has published on these topics in Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management and others. Her extensive record of service to SMS includes two terms on the SMS Board of Directors, Co-Chair of the 2005 SMS International Conference in its 25th Anniversary year, Co-Chair of the first SMS Doctoral Workshop, early leadership roles in the Entrepreneurship and Strategy Interest Group, Director of the SRF Dissertation Research Program, and organizational and faculty mentoring roles in Doctoral Workshops. She has been active as well in the Academy of Management and in the PhD Project’s Management Doctoral Student Association, and received the Academy of Management’s 2014 Distinguished Service Award and the Ph.D. Project MDSA’s 2015 Trailblazer Award. Irene Duhaime was elected as a member of the SMS Fellows in 2010 and was elected to serve as Deputy Dean of the Fellows for 2015-2016 and as Dean of the Fellows for 2017-2018.
